Oba vs. Brock II: Who Wins at Clash in Italy 2026?

WWE

At WrestleMania 42, former two-time NXT Champion and NXT North American Champion, ‘The Ruler’ Oba Femi, defeated former 10-time World Champion, ‘The Beast Incarnate’ Brock Lesnar in a battle between two titans. After the match, an emotional Lesnar put his gear in the middle of the ring, signaling his retirement. However, on the May 18th edition of Monday Night Raw, Femi was about to issue an open challenge to the Raw locker room until the 10-time World Champion came out of nowhere and attacked ‘The Ruler’. Now, a match between the two behemoths will take place this Sunday, May 31st, in Turin, Italy, for Clash in Italy. This is the only match on the card that is not a championship match. However, expect more to come with this story even after the fallout of this second match.

For the WWE Universe, Lesnar’s “retirement” seemed legit, even with SummerSlam 2026 in Minnesota, where ‘The Beast Incarnate’ is from. WWE moved the 10-time World Champion from the ‘Now’ section of their intro to the ‘Forever’ section, indicating this retirement was real. Even Raw’s general manager, Adam Pearce, claimed he completed retirement paperwork on Lesnar’s behalf. The “change of heart” is most likely because ‘The Beast Incarnate’ wants to show the world that he can defeat ‘The Ruler’ even when most of the WWE Universe has counted him out, when he’s had such an illustrious career, absolutely destroying his opponents.

Certainly, Femi picked up the biggest win of his career at WrestleMania 42. However, will he be able to follow up that spectacular performance and put down ‘The Beast Incarnate’ for good? Since WrestleMania, ‘The Ruler’ hasn’t dealt with any tough opponents, as he’s crushed Otis, Angel, and Berto during the weeks of his open challenge. Now, he has to face a pissed-off Lesnar who’s coming for revenge after a devastating loss. However, even Femi reiterated that he was pissed off from all the F5’s and Suplexes he took at WrestleMania. So with the two giants red hot at one another, this should make for another interesting encounter.

At WrestleMania 42, we saw an emotional Lesnar. This time in Italy, it’s going to be a version of ‘The Beast Incarnate’ we haven’t seen for a long time, as he’ll be looking to put the hurt on Femi as much as he can and as quickly as possible. Femi must be ready to sustain all those hits from the F5’s and Suplexes that Lesnar is ready to throw at him. Yet, will it be enough to give ‘The Ruler’ his first loss his coming up to the main roster?

The WWE Universe is wondering who will come out on top at Clash in Italy. For this match in particular, it has to be Lesnar who wins. This evens the rivalry at one win apiece, which will push a deciding third match between ‘The Ruler’ and ‘The Beast Incarnate’ at SummerSlam in Minnesota, giving Lesnar a final send-off in his home state. A trilogy of matches between the two throughout 2026 could help defy Femi’s legacy as he becomes a key main-event piece for the WWE.
