The Summer Break Report for All F1 Teams

The 2025 Formula 1 season has reached its summer break, and it’s the perfect time to check in on how each team is doing. From McLaren’s total dominance to Alpine’s struggles at the back, the first half of the season has been full of surprises. Some teams are charging toward titles, while others are already shifting focus to 2026. The midfield is closer than ever, with every point mattering in the fight for position. Here’s a full breakdown of where all ten teams stand heading into the second half of the season.

McLaren

The Papaya built one of the most dominant cars again in 2025, winning 10 races already, and finished on the podium in all races except Canada. The Papaya duo is top two in the drivers' championship, and the team is in first; both WDC and WCC seem to be just one step away. The only question is who will be the Drivers' Champion? Right now, just nine points apart, the race is still on.

Ferrari

It's been a messy season for the Scuderia, as Lewis Hamilton came into the team, but he cannot find his old pace. All six podiums were held by Charles Leclerc. The SF-25 seems to have major development issues; the inconsistency is killing the team. Their goal will be to hold on to the second place for the constructors and focus on the 2026 season. Maybe the new rule regulations are a game-changer.

Mercedes

Bringing a young talent like Kimi Antonelli onto the team is a brave move from Toto Wolff, but it causes problems as well. Although Antonelli has shining moments, such as the Sprint Pole in Miami and the Podium in Canada, the truth is that he is holding back Mercedes. If he performs some more, right now, Mercedes might be in second place among the Constructors. On the other hand, George Russell is moving into his prime. He got the only win this year for the team so far, and he is very consistent on race pace; we believe he will be the leader of Mercedes in a new rule regulation era.

Red Bull

Fans are witnessing a very messy and chaotic season for Red Bull Racing so far. Only Max Verstappen is out there scoring points; the second driver's problem is like hell for them. The car is very inconsistent; it’s gambling every weekend for Red Bull to find the right setup and balance. Long-time leader Christian Horner got fired and then needed to worry about the potential departure of Max Verstappen, too.

Williams

Williams kicked off the season well, and their car is performing decently in the midfield. Alex Albon scored 54 points by himself and brought very consistent performances, but the new driver, Carlos Sainz, is not holding his end with only 16 points. In such a crazy competition of midfield in 2025, Sainz needs to bring more to the table, so Williams can hold on to their fifth place in the Constructors. Williams looks like it’s old-time glory a bit. We love seeing it!

Aston Martin

We are seeing a very different Aston Martin this season; their car has been underperforming from the start of the season. Fernando Alonso needed to wait for Spain to score his first point; the car is unpredictable. Right now, as Adrian Newey is with the team, their main focus is the 2026 season. For this season, their priority is to use whatever car they have and try to find the best place for them in the midfield.

Kick Sauber

Sauber has cleared their nightmare in the 2024 season. Compared to only 4 points scored by Zhou Guanyu in Qatar 2024, they now have 51 points. Both new drivers bring stuff to the table, and the podium for Nico Hulkenberg in Great Britain was one of the most exciting stories in the F1 world. Rookie driver Gabriel Bortoleto also showed a strong pace. Sauber is now definitely chasing fifth place among the constructors, and the best of the rest is their goal.

Racing Bulls

It’s been a messy season for the Racing Bulls, too, as they are affected by their senior team. Luckily, their drivers can deliver points to the table, so they are just seven points behind Aston Martin. Rookie driver Isack Hadjar is very fast, bringing half of the points for the team. The midfield is such a close battle; they will use every chance they get to score more points.

Haas

Their new driver duo is doing all right. They just needed more luck. Oliver Bearman had four consecutive P11s from Canada to Belgium. Esteban Ocon brought most of the points for the team. Since Haas is heavily related to Ferrari, it’s understandable that they are struggling in 2025, as Ferrari is struggling as well. Ten points behind the Racing Bulls is big but not big; they need to find some more pace and some luck to get as many points as they can.

Alpine

In a season with a lot of struggles for the France team, Pierre Gasly scored all 20 points for the team. The second driver change in Imola didn’t help the team. Maybe they are focused on the 2026 season, which gives them more testing time. Maybe they can bring another miracle just like the 2024 Brazil double podium, but from what we can see right now, the last place in the Constructors' might be where they belong.
