Predicting the FedEx Cup Playoffs Winners in 2026

PGA

This year’s FedEx Cup offered a moment to celebrate as Tommy Fleetwood claimed his first PGA title. His victory indicates a possible bright future for the upcoming year of golf. The upcoming season offers signs of hope for potential new winners and indicates the rise of new golfers to take the torch from previous generations. The question to ask is this: Is it the year of rising stars or the continued dominance of golf’s biggest names? Let us see what the year 2026 has to offer.

FedEx St. Jude Championship (August 13th-16th, 2026): J.J. Spaun

J.J. Spaun deserves a second chance for this tournament after his performance in the St. Jude Championship. His playoff against Justin Rose showcased his tenacity and determination, but his flaws in his game were in his putting. The fact that putting is a constant challenge indicates that his level may match the world’s best, but he can’t surpass due to his shortcomings. This year proved his growth and won his first major at the U.S Open, and a promising future for him to be among the best golfers.

BMW Championship (August 20th-23th, 2026): Sam Burns

Sam Burns is probably the most consistent player for this tournament in recent memory. The last two years indicate that he is a contender for the tournament as a top-five finisher. The question to ask is whether he can do it again in a different course and finally capture the title that he has long been knocking on the door of. The time is now for Burns to seize his moment and claim the 2026 BMW Championship or claim his title in the two courses where he finished in the top five.

TOUR Championship (August 27th-30th, 2026): Corey Connors

Corey Connors is the name that some casual fans are starting to recognize under this year's 2025 TOUR Championship. Connors can see this performance as a milestone in his career, as it was his best performance at the TOUR Championship, where he finished in a tie for fourth with Cameron Young and Scottie Scheffler. The question for Connors is whether he can do it again and put in a consistent year as he did this year to put himself in this position to seize the TOUR Championship? The feedback for Connors is to build for the year and to strike the iron hot in the end.
