Seahawks Under Pressure: Can They Withstand the Week 15 Injury Hit?
The weeks are getting down to the wire even more now, with just four games left in the season schedule. Just four chances for Seattle to shine left as well. Maybe to be able to shine even brighter than they have before this point. Perhaps they could keep things at a steady level and finish out the season on a still positive note, if not perfect at all. Or things could just tumble and snowball into a mess right at the last minute, it’s all unpredictable for sure when it comes to the NFL, between watching as a fan and being out there on the field as a player or a coach or coordinator.
As for who we’re going to talk about for this week’s report. Despite it having a lot more repeats than usual, which isn’t surprising at all. The first player up is Jarran Reed, a nose tackle for Seattle. He has been with the team since 2016, despite moving to Kansas City for one season. In 2021, the Green Bay Packers were in 2022, before moving back to Seattle in 2023 and staying on up to this point. He has a wrist and thumb injury and has had limited practice participation as of Wednesday. He did not participate in Weeks 10-13, before returning in Week 14 to help Seattle steamroll to yet another victory. However, will he be able to get back out there against the Colts? That is a strong possibility as of now. But Seattle as a whole, even with his injury, has higher odds than Indianapolis of coming out on top.
Our next player is AJ Barner, who is a tight end and has been with Seattle since 2024. He has had participation in each week up to this point, despite having limited participation in the most recent practice. He has an ankle injury to close out the season. So maybe he will recover quickly and be able to play this weekend against Indianapolis, and possibly the three remaining games of the season that come after it. There isn’t that much time left for both players to recover, not as many opportunities and games to play in left for this season at all, for sure. Let’s hope that both players can find suitable substitutes to play in their place for the remaining weeks, if possible.
