Taking a Look at What Haas Has Done So Far This Season
It’s the time all Formula 1 fans dread, the halfway point of the season. As the 2025 season reaches its second half, we can now take a closer look at what each team has experienced so far. With the team the second to last in the Constructors’ Championship at 35 points, let’s look into what the Haas Formula 1 Team has accomplished. Esteban Ocon currently holds 27 points to his name and stands at 10th place in the Driver’s Championship. His rookie teammate, Oliver Bearman, has eight points and is in 19th place in the championship.
Ocon secured his best placement this season back at the Chinese Grand Prix, finishing in 5th. After the team qualified at the back of the grid in Australia at the beginning of the season, they truly made their comeback, scoring double points for the year. The men in red and white crossed the checkered flag in P7 and P10, but were promoted by two positions due to a disqualification. While this was Ocon’s highest finish in China, he has yet to pass it, let alone meet it again. Ocon has beaten Bearman in the qualifying sections of races on eight separate occasions. This leaves the rookie pushing to beat his own scores and attempting to meet the standards of the Haas team.
Something particularly challenging for the team was between the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix and the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, as they left without scoring for the third event in a row. During the British Grand Prix, the men had a collision where Ocon felt that they had deserved to be up in the points. Out of all of the best moments this season, the two Haas cars spinning in sync had to be one of the most mesmerizing events ever. Yes, they were both forced to give up valuable spots, but at least the visuals were something the Formula 1 world would not forget.
Haas has truly had an up-and-down season, but they still have room to earn points as they finish the season. Both Ocon and Bearman want to be up in the points, as every driver does, but does the Haas team have what it takes? Could they attempt to score another 10 points to beat the Racing Bulls? We’ll have to wait and see, but until then, make sure to watch the Dutch Grand Prix on August 31st.
