Tensions Rise Early for the 2026 Giants Offensive Line at Training Camp
The New York Football Giants kicked off their 2026 NFL training camp in West Virginia. John Harbaugh is already running his team like champions and is ready to make them look Super Bowl-bound again. Nearly everyone was back in action, running drills on this first day of practice. However, what really stood out during this practice was how well the offensive line was put together. The offensive line ran drills and kept everything quick and clean during practice.
Young quarterback Jaxson Dart went 17 of 24 on passes during today’s practice. This includes three spikes and a drop by tight end Theo Johnson. It seemed to be a very promising day for this young team. They have spent a lot of time working on putting together new schemes this offseason. They have also worked on learning them so they can put them into effect.
There was one area that really stood out during this first day of practice. Braxton Berrios looked like he was ready to start being on the starting roster for Big Blue. This wide receiver caught five passes during the first set of drills that the Giants were running through. Berrios even caught a long pass from veteran quarterback Jameis Winston. This 2018 draft pick wants to prove to the team that he has what it takes to be a part of this lineup.
Other areas of the offensive line also looked ready for the team to be on fire. The kicking battle continued with Dominic Zvada and Ben Sauls. Zvada made four of his six field goal attempts, and Sauls made five of seven. Sauls kicked a 61-yard field goal attempt; however, he missed when it went to the right of the goalpost. Most likely, by the end of training camp, New York will make a strong decision about what they want to do.
Odell Beckham Jr. did not catch any passes during drills today. However, he looked fantastic running drills and finding routes. The veteran wide receiver is currently trying to make the effort to make the starting roster despite all his past injuries. Beckham received a lot of good feedback from Harbaugh. If he keeps this up, this team may be thrilled that he’s able to follow through on plays again.
This is going to be a tougher season for New York. They have had plenty of time to work on how they plan to win during the regular season. With the stakes rising, Harbaugh is making one thing crystal clear: his team will be focused, disciplined, and ready when the moment arrives. This was only the beginning, and they looked sharp. The offensive line needs to keep it up.
