‘The Assassin Baby’ Encounters a Possible Beating
Brandon Moreno, otherwise known as ‘The Assassin Baby,’ is making an appearance on December 6th, 2025, at UFC 323. His opponent in the Flyweight division is the younger Tatsuro Taira. Brandon does have more experience, being the older of the two, but Tatsuro has shown promise by winning four of his previous five fights. This is in contrast to Moreno, who has only won three of his last five fights. However, experience is a good determination of what could happen in a fight, especially when comparing ‘The Assassin Baby’s’ record of 23-8-2 to Taira’s 17-1-0. A possible win against a younger opponent could mean a trajectory like that of Dan Hooker at UFC Fight Night. Brandon is also the favored fighter to win.
Brandon could win the fight if he relies on the strikes landing per minute. The strikes he has demonstrated have even led to unanimous decision wins against Steve Erceg and Amir Albazi. He even has a higher striking defense rating, which could mean the strikes absorbed per minute may be lessened when counted at the end of the fight. This strong defense is carried over in his ground game, as he has a higher takedown defense against Tatsuro. Overall, this is more than likely why Brandon hasn’t been submitted in his previous fights.
Tatsuro, though, is the perfect opposition to his stacked defensive opponent. He boasts an impressive accuracy of his strikes that exceeds Brandon’s own rating. This could be why he has secured recent KO/TKOs in his last fights. Furthermore, he is known to have submitted his past opponents with neck cranks or simple armbars. If Brandon owns the air in this fight, it will be Tatsuro who will own the ground as he submits faster than Brandon currently does. This fast submission time has even had him finishing his fights sooner than ‘The Assassin Baby’.
The important item between these two, though, is not in strikes or submissions from an averaging perspective. It is experience because these stats rely upon win after win and loss after loss. Compiled together, it is still anyone’s fight, and prediction-wise, they can be stronger or weaker in some areas than their opponents. So, to see the actual result, it is the duty of anyone reading to look ahead to this fight and be there to watch Moreno vs. Tiara live on December 6th, 2025, at UFC 323!
