The ‘PRINXE’ Now Finds Himself Alone After Judgment Day Fallout
The cracks that had continued to haunt Judgment Day over the past few months reached their breaking point during an Intercontinental Championship match between Dominik Mysterio and Penta. When Mysterio asked JD McDonagh and Finn Bálor to pass him the ringbell hammer, Bálor stopped McDonagh and told him that Mysterio had to win this fight on his own. This backfired on Mysterio, as Penta took advantage of the commotion and put away Mysterio to win his first title in WWE. ‘Dirty Dom’ wanted answers, and with tempers reaching an all-time high within the group, it was only a matter of time before one of the members of the group saw their spell within the faction come to an abrupt end.
Mysterio came to the ring with Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. He demanded Bálor explain why he didn’t help in his Intercontinental Championship loss to Penta the previous week. Bálor, with McDonagh by his side, appeared. He told Mysterio he tried to help him become a man and wanted him to stand up for himself. Instead, Bálor said Mysterio hid behind the group once again and failed to take any accountability in his own matches. Mysterio, furious, shoved Bálor, leading to the ‘PRINXE’ attacking Mysterio. Then, McDonagh turned on Bálor and attacked him. With no one left to protect him, all Judgment Day members attacked Bálor. Mysterio finished Bálor off with a Frog Slap. Bálor’s goal was to shape Mysterio into a proper competitor. Instead, Mysterio once again chose the group over friendly advice. After nearly four years as a Judgment Day member, Bálor’s time with the group had officially ended.
Bálor first aligned with Judgment Day back in 2022, introducing himself as a surprise member of the group despite initially declining to join the team. Not only did Bálor join Judgment Day, but he also played a role in kicking out the group leader, Edge. During his time with Judgment Day, Bálor found success by winning the tag team titles multiple times. The ‘PRINXE’ also had major rivalries with stars like Cody Rhodes and Edge. His feud with ‘The Rated-R Superstar’ led to a WrestleMania 39 match inside Hell in a Cell, with Bálor coming up short.
Now that Bálor is officially out of Judgment Day, it’s time for WWE to put the rocket on his back and position him as a main eventer on Raw. Fans have been begging for Bálor to win a world title after 10 long years without hoisting one up. Before Bálor can even think of going after another world title opportunity, he needs to settle his differences with Judgment Day and get revenge on those who turned their backs on him. Maybe a WrestleMania match against ‘Dirty Dom’ is on the horizon for him.
