Three Seattle Seahawks Players Who Need to Bounce Back in Week Two
The Seattle Seahawks are already facing a tough uphill battle at this point. With one loss on their 2025 season record, is there even any hope left that they could prevent it from getting another loss, making it 0-2 a possibility, and so on from there? The team faces off against the Pittsburgh Steelers this weekend, still hoping to reel in some much-needed momentum to keep their season pace coming. Their new roster is still looking to have a better chance at pushing through each game from now on. Here are a few standouts that fans should look out for in Week Two and beyond.
First up is Kenneth Walker, who has been with the Seahawks since 2022 as one of the team's active running backs. Even if he was in the mix of faults that cost Seattle the win last Sunday. There needs to be some sort of shakeup in his play style, especially this early on. There cannot be any last-minute formula changes that would send more falling dominoes in Seattle, for sure.
Our next player has not had the best track record thus far: Sam Darnold. His reputation since joining Seattle has been teetering between good and bad, though mostly leaning towards the bad after what happened to him specifically on Sunday. CBS Sports tore him up after this most recent game, and things don't look so bright for Darnold, unless he gets a similar shakeup for improvement like Walker desperately needs. The strategy that Darnold has going for him right now cannot be just a one-trick pony type play; he needs to have mix-ups against the opposing defense. If all else fails, he's just going to paint himself a perfect candidate for easy opposing defense plays from here on out.
Our final player for today is Tariq Woolen, who has had his own fair share of problems. Chief among them was just getting absolutely steamrolled by the 49ers' defense. It seems the Seahawks have more blind spots than bright spots on their defense. This is something that hopefully can be worked out. Whether or not it's by the time this weekend's game comes up, or hopefully sooner rather than later, we can only hope that we don't have another disastrous season on our hands yet again.
