Which Member of the Vision Will Turn First?

WWE

The Vision has become one of the most dangerous groups in WWE right now. Managed by Paul Heyman, The Vision leaves destruction wherever they go as Seth Rollins’ vision for the WWE is for each of them to lead the company into the future, far away from those who threaten to destroy the foundation they have built. The Vision has had its fair share of success, but if history has taught us anything, it’s that every empire eventually crumbles under pressure and falls. Although there are no cracks being shown within the group, every member of The Vision might have their own personal reason to turn their back on the group. The only question that remains is which superstar will be the first to turn on The Vision.

Rollins has been riding a wave of success since aligning himself with Heyman at WrestleMania. Following his successful victory over CM Punk and Roman Reigns in the Night One main event of WrestleMania, Rollins made his intentions known to the WWE universe when he added Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed to the group. Rollins would reach the pinnacle of highs when he cashed in his Money in the Bank contract against Punk to capture the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam. Rollins would add one more piece to his group when his wife, Becky Lynch, joined to help him retain his championship at Clash in Paris. Rollins knows how important this group is to him in making his vision a success, so it’s highly unlikely he will turn on them at the moment, but maybe if the cracks begin to show between the members of the group, Rollins might have to consider taking care of the problem. For now, though, Rollins will make sure that everyone is on the same page.

Reed’s addition to The Vision was a very surprising one, considering his past with Rollins. Before they became partners, Reed was hell bent on ending the career of Rollins, even going as far as hitting six Tsunamis on him during an episode of RAW. Despite the terrifying attacks he suffered at the hands of Reed, Rollins acknowledged that those attacks made him respect Reed as the monster that he was, and his addition to the group was to ensure that they could work better as a group instead of constantly fighting each other. Rollins may claim he has settled things with Reed, but it’s very evident that Rollins does not want to endure any more punishment from Reed in the future. On the other hand, Reed’s decision to join The Vision can also be seen as a plotting scheme, as Reed may still hold a grudge against Rollins and is waiting for the perfect moment to strike against him. Time will tell if Reed is really in the group to support Rollins or is there as a double agent.

Breakker seems least likely to turn on The Vision any time soon. Introduced as a member of the group, the RAW after WrestleMania, Breakker has made a name for himself with his freakish athleticism, spearing his competition with insane speed. Labeled as the future of WWE, Breakker has become the “powerhouse” of the group, eliminating those who stand in the way of Rollins’ vision for the WWE. As time has passed, Breakker seems to have lost a little bit of the edge he once had before he joined The Vision, but make no mistake about it, Breakker is destined for stardom, and it’s a matter of when, not if, he holds a world title in WWE. For now, Breakker should continue to establish himself a bit more under Rollins’ wing.

Now we get to Heyman, the “Oracle” of the group. Considered one of the greatest managers of all time, Heyman has made a name for himself managing some of the top stars in company history, such as Brock Lesnar, Punk, and Reigns. However, Heyman is a man who should not be trusted, despite claiming his loyalty to each of the talents he’s taken care of. Heyman has a history of screwing over those whom he’s managed in favor of another talent, proving that once again at WrestleMania, when he low-blowed both Punk and Reigns to align himself with Rollins. The relationship between Rollins and Heyman has fallen a bit flat since they partnered up, but Heyman continues to prove he is great on the microphone, no matter who he is with. With Lesnar back on the WWE roster, and Heyman even introducing him before his match against John Cena at Wrestlepalooza, it is only a matter of time before Heyman turns on Rollins and aligns himself once again with The Beast Incarnate.

The Vision should continue to enjoy all their success, but keep a watchful eye in case any of them decide their time with the group should come to an end. Whoever decides to turn on the group first should leave a lasting impact not only on the rest of the group but on the future of WWE entirely. Face and heel turns only work when all the pieces are perfectly aligned, and in the case of The Vision, it needs to be a slow burn before we get to the execution of the turn. Whether it’s because of Heyman or any other member of the group, the turn should have people talking for a very long time.
