Who Walks Out As the Women’s United States Champion After Night of Champions 2026?

WWE

On the November 1st, 2025 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event, ‘The Storm’ Jade Cargill won the WWE Women’s Championship by defeating Tiffany Stratton, ending her 300 + day reign as champion. At WrestleMania 42, Cargill lost the title to Rhea Ripley, while on the Friday Night SmackDown following WrestleMania 42, Stratton defeated Giulia to become the WWE Women’s United States Champion. In a few days, both ‘The Storm’ and ‘Tiffy’ will square up once again, this time for the Women’s United States Championship at Night of Champions. Will Cargill get another championship at the cost of Stratton, or can ‘Tiffy’ continue to try and elevate a championship that has gotten no love from the WWE since its creation?

When Cargill won the WWE Women’s Championship back at Saturday Night’s Main Event, she did not have Michin or B-Fab by her side. Now with two other superstars by her side, this gives ‘The Storm’ all the more of an advantage. Of course, Michin and B-Fab’s interference could end up costing Cargill the match at the end of the day, but you would have to think that with almost a three-on-one advantage, ‘The Storm’ could gain another championship at the cost of Stratton. During their match at Saturday Night’s Main Event, decimated ‘Tiffy’, could this happen again at Night of Champions?

Even though we’ve had four Women’s United States Champions thus far since its creation on December 14th, 2024, this will be the first time the championship is being featured on a premium live event, compared to the Women’s Intercontinental Championship, which has been featured at SummerSlam 2025 and WrestleMania 42. This makes it all the more important for Stratton to have one of the best matches of her career. If she can be the one to elevate this title to relevancy, that will be huge for WWE moving forward. ‘Tiffy’ defended the WWE Women’s Champion a ton during her first reign. If she can continue to defend the title, especially at big-time premium live events, Stratton being the Women’s United States Champion could do even more wonders for her young career.

While Michin and B-Fab will most likely be factors during this match, the real question is whether Stratton will feel the pressure against Cargill, knowing she was dominated in their last matchup. ‘Tiffy’ has to prove to herself and the WWE Universe that she can weather ‘The Storm’ and continue her reign as champion. Cargill’s strength could destroy any momentum Stratton has in this match; however, her athleticism and the Prettiest Moonsault Ever could play a big role in getting past ‘The Storm’. Yet, Cargill’s strength is nearly unmatched in the ring.

Cargill defeated Stratton the first time around back in November. I don’t see Stratton losing a second championship to ‘The Storm’ here at Night of Champions. This would give ‘Tiffy’ more time to elevate the Women’s United States Championship and create feuds on SmackDown or even those that go into premium live events that are going to capture people’s attention. While a loss would put Cargill in an unsure direction, perhaps that’s what is needed with her character to get her feuding with someone everyone wants to see.
