Who Wins the Steel Cage Match at Night of Champions 2026?

WWE

While the WWE Universe is ready to see who will become the 2026 King of the Ring, one of the most anticipated matches for the Night of Champions 2026 card is between the former leader of The Vision, Seth Rollins, facing the faction’s new leader and Rollins protege, Bron Breakker. At WrestleMania 42, ‘The Unpredictable Badass’ returned to help ‘The Ring General’ Gunther defeat Rollins. A few weeks later, at Backlash, back on May 9th, Breakker defeated ‘The Visionary’. On June 1st, the main event of Monday Night Raw, the six-time World Champion defeated Breakker to even up the rivalry at one win a piece. Now at Night of Champions, both men will face off in a Steel Cage Match to determine who has the upper hand in the feud.

With The Vision down to two active members, as Bronson Reed and Logan Paul are out with injuries, this makes this match even more important for Breakker. The former Intercontinental Champion, alongside Austin Theory, just lost the World Tag Team Championship to The Street Profits with the help of Rollins. Breakker wants to finish ‘The Visionary’ and allow The Vision to continue controlling Monday Night Raw. With the six-time World Champion being the megastar that he is, it would make sense to put over the young talent in ‘The Unpredictable Badass’.

However, WWE wants The Vision story to end. It doesn’t make sense to keep this faction together much longer, as all the members could be single stars or have suffered injuries that have hindered the group's story progression. Rollins has been the one to state that he started The Vision, and he’ll be the one to end them, so it would only be fitting for the six-time World Champion to come out on top and take out the group he originally started late last April.

The biggest factor in this match could be the interference of Theory. Even though it’s a Steel Cage Match, the former United States Champion could easily make himself a hindrance for Rollins. Whether that’s Theory climbing the cage, getting inside the actual cage, or tossing Breakker weapons. His involvement could help or hurt ‘The Unpredictable Badass’ and push The Vision story to its natural conclusion.

For me, it makes sense for Rollins to win the match and feud, finishing this story with The Vision and allowing the group to crumble on its own demise. Yet, WWE should put over its younger talent. Allowing Breakker to win shows how much of a dominant figure he is and can be going forward. A win over ‘The Visionary’ could very much put the former Intercontinental Champion into the World Championship picture, whether that’s against the World Heavyweight Champion or WWE Champion.
