Who Will Be the Bears Biggest Difference-Makers in 2026?

Now that he is fully healthy and knows the system, the former fifth-round pick could be set for a career year. If Chicago wishes to see better defensive play, then Booker will play a crucial role in helping transform the unit.
Offensive Difference Maker: Luther Burden
Luther Burden has been one of the most talked-about players for Chicago this offseason. The hope is that after a promising rookie season, he will be able to take the next step in 2026 and become one of the top playmakers on the team. In 2025, he had a slow start to his career, but became one of the more reliable targets over the last few weeks of the season. The former second-round pick ended his season with 47 catches, 652 yards, and two touchdowns. These numbers may not be outstanding, but considering he only saw 60 targets, they are not bad at all. Now that D.J. Moore is gone, Burden should see far more opportunities.
Similar to Booker, Burden is an elite athlete. His speed, toughness, and explosiveness are something that not many other receivers on the team can offer consistently. Now that the 22-year-old should have a larger role, there are more chances for him to provide the explosive plays that he showcased in 2025. His ability to create big plays after the catch could add another dimension to the Bears' offense and take pressure off the rest of the receiving corps. If Burden can turn his efficiency into consistent production with an expanded workload, he has the potential to become one of Chicago's most dangerous offensive weapons. If the offense is going to grow after their successful year, then he may need to be the biggest difference-maker in 2026.
