Who Will Shine Brightest in the Seahawks Week Nine Battle Against the Commanders?

NFL

Last week’s game was a very close call for the Seahawks. It could’ve ended up with their record being four to three, as opposed to it ending up with a five to three record by the end of it. Though honestly, with the energy and power that the defense had at their own disposal. They were able to help push back Houston’s defense as much as they could. Even if it meant that the Texans got a few touchdowns in quarters two to four. As opposed to Seattle getting 14 points in the first quarter and 13 points in the third, with none in the second or fourth.

Now, what could this mean when they match up with the Commanders after their bye week? Could they keep this same pushback against Washington themselves and secure a sixth win this season, or could it be an all-around fumble and Seattle ends up costing themselves the win by the fingertips? With some of the injured players now under questionable status, if they will play again for the rest of the season. The Seahawks as a team are sort of in a limbo state, in terms of keeping that same spark they had week by week.

Though personally, I think that the strategy for this Sunday’s game should be in a similar vein to how the defense played in Texas. While also giving the offense some time to shine, to be able to find a rhythm that works. Offensive linemen like Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet need more time in the limelight than they have already had at this point, in all honesty. Those two players could hopefully match up against offensive linemen on the Commanders to gain the upper hand. Or possibly sell themselves short and end up losing a sack from players like Brandon Coleman or Trenton Scott during the game.

Keeping the clock running as much as possible, leaving less and less room for error. As for what this could mean when they go to Maryland following their bye week? It could mean a lot of things, from player injuries being hopefully healed. To also use a formula that isn’t too much of the same thing to keep things fresh. While also not making it something that would break the system too far beyond repair at all. Especially when we are at the halfway point of the season now. The clock is running, and the options to push it back lessen and lessen more and more each week.
