Will ‘The Architect’ Cash-in at SummerSlam?
During the 40th episode of Saturday Night’s Main Event, Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins suffered a knee injury against LA Knight. Since July 12th, we have not heard how severe Rollins’ injury actually is. We’ve listened to Paul Heyman talk about how Rollins will hold the briefcase for a year and will have plenty of time to heal from his injury and make a spontaneous return to his faction alongside Bron Breakker and Big Bronson Reed. While it’s most likely true that ‘The Architect’ has suffered a serious injury against ‘The Megastar’, LA Knight, some fans are wondering if this injury is a ploy and will set up a wild result at the first-ever two-night SummerSlam.
It’s most likely set that we’ll see the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match between CM Punk and Gunther as the main event of night one of SummerSlam. Some are wondering if Punk will win his first title in WWE for the first time in over 10 years against ‘The Ring General’. The match between the two of them will be a back-and-forth battle, but ultimately, ‘The Second City Saint’ comes out on top. Then ‘The Architect’ will come limping out to his classic theme to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase on his biggest rival, re-sparking the flame between the two in a feud that some believe is overstaying its welcome. While another Rollins/Punk feud might push fans away, yet involving a prestigious title like the WWE World Heavyweight Championship may spark this feud in a new direction that could draw more viewers in. Rollins, whether his injury is legitimate or not, coming out to cash in his briefcase to become champion, could be one of the best ployed storylines in WWE history.
