Will The Vision Story End with the 2026 King of the Ring Finals?

WWE

On the June 1st episode of Monday Night Raw, Oba Femi defeated Penta, Carmelo Hayes, and Solo Sikoa to advance to the semifinals of the 2026 King of the Ring Tournament. This Friday on SmackDown, and next week, we’ll see the other first-round matchups to determine the other three semifinalists. While there are a lot of notable names who should be discussed to be the next King of the Ring, one of the most notable parts of WWE’s bracket of the tournament is that six-time World Champion Seth Rollins and two-time Intercontinental and NXT Champion Bron Breakker are on opposite sides of the bracket. At WrestleMania, Breakker helped Gunther defeat Rollins, then on the June 1st episode of Raw, the six-time World Champion got his revenge by defeating ‘The Unpredictable Badass’. Could we see both men make it to the finals of the tournament to have this feud end once and for all at Night of Champions on June 27th in Saudi Arabia?

There are only two logical ways the 2026 King of the Ring Tournament should go. The first would be to have Femi win the tournament. Yet, it wouldn’t make sense for ‘The Ruler’ to win, because everyone is anticipating him to face Brock Lesnar a third and final time in Lesnar’s home state of Minnesota at SummerSlam, possibly retiring ‘The Beast Incarnate’ for good. Even though we all want to see ‘The Ruler’ win a World Championship, Femi needs to end the feud with Lesnar. The second logical way would be to have Breakker and Rollins in the final. Regardless of who WWE wants Roman Reigns to face at SummerSlam, the six-time World Champion and ‘The Unpredictable Badass’ should be in the finals. It allows The Vision story to end and gives us the possibility to see Rollins vs. Reigns at SummerSlam, in which both men have extensive history with one another, beginning with their days in The Shield, or Breakker vs. Reigns, which allows Breakker to flourish as a young talent against one of the best of this generation.

How could we get to Breakker vs. Rollins in the 2026 King of the Ring Finals, though? Breakker would be facing Femi in the semifinals, which means that some sort of shenanigans should happen, like Austin Theory or Paul Heyman getting involved, in order for ‘The Unpredictable Badass’ to pick up the win against ‘The Ruler'. For Rollins, he’ll either face Jey Uso, LA Knight, Royce Keys, or Finn Bálor. To me, Keys would make the most sense to advance, as WWE is still trying to showcase him. A few stomps by Rollins to Keys, and I could see the Finals being set for Breakker vs. Rollins at Night of Champions. While the history between Reigns and Rollins would make an epic SummerSlam match, it would really be intriguing to see Breakker win, face Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship, something ‘The Unpredictable Badass’ has been chasing for almost a year at this point, and take his career to the next level.
