Which Superstars Left Turin Victorious at Clash in Italy 2026?
WWE made its way across the Atlantic Ocean as it hosted its first Premium Live Event in Turin for Clash in Italy 2026. Four championship titles were on the line, and a WrestleMania rematch was on display in front of a hot Italian crowd. The main event featured Tribal Combat, with a lot on the line besides the world title. Were any new champions crowned in Turin, and which superstars walked out with bragging rights?
Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther for the Undisputed WWE Championship
After their last encounter at Crown Jewel 2024, it was clear that this match would have a unique type of finish. ‘The Ring General’ did his best to avoid any offense from Cody Rhodes early on, but Rhodes continued the attack on Gunther regardless of the strength disadvantage. Despite Gunther putting Rhodes in a sleeper hold multiple times throughout the match, he was still unable to put away ‘The American Nightmare’. Just when Gunther thought he had the answer against Rhodes, ‘The American Nightmare’ was able to connect with a Cody Cutter and a Cross Rhodes to get the pin and retain, however. However, the referee clearly missed that Gunther’s foot was underneath the rope, which meant the pinfall should never have counted. Regardless, Rhodes retained the title, but with the controversial finish, this will not be the last time that Rhodes goes face-to-face with Gunther.
Result: Rhodes retains
Rhea Ripley vs. Jade Cargill for the WWE Women’s Championship
Both women delivered an entertaining match at WrestleMania 42, and they followed that up with a fantastic sequel. Rhea Ripley and Jade Cargill pulled out all the stops in a back-and-forth encounter as they did whatever it took to claim the gold. After being unable to put away the champion, Cargill brought out her support system to gain an upper hand in the match, but B-FAB was caught putting Cargill’s foot on the bottom rope, causing her and Michin to get ejected from the match. They wouldn’t make it out of the arena, however, as Charlotte Flair attacked them and followed up her surprise appearance by placing ‘Mami’s’ foot on the bottom rope as Cargill had her pinned. Ripley would recover and deliver a Riptide to win the match and retain the title.
Result: Ripley retains
Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar
Brock Lesnar’s “retirement” at WrestleMania 42 at the hands of Oba Femi should have been the perfect end to his career. Lesnar returning to have another match against Femi wasn’t needed. Did Femi look strong by kicking out of six F5s even in defeat? Sure. Should Femi have lost this match? Absolutely not. This win does absolutely nothing for Lesnar and temporarily derails Femi’s progress on the main roster. The only way WWE could make this right is to have one more match where Femi comes out on top and finally sends Lesnar into an official retirement. Otherwise, this match was very much unnecessary.
Result: Lesnar wins
Becky Lynch vs. Sol Ruca for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship
After a disappointing encounter at Saturday Night’s Main Event, Becky Lynch and Sol Ruca showed up and showed out in their rematch. Lynch once again used the referee as a distraction in an attempt to retain the title, but Ruca was more than prepared this time around. When it was all said and done, Ruca was able to connect with the Sol Snatcher on Lynch to become the new champion. Despite only being on the main roster for about a month, WWE clearly sees something in Ruca, and she has the potential to be a main event player in the long run.
Result: Ruca wins the title
Roman Reigns vs. Jacob Fatu in Tribal Combat for the World Heavyweight Championship
The ‘OTC’ promised he would make Jacob Fatu acknowledge him, and he delivered after defeating him in Tribal Combat. Roman Reigns made sure to defeat Fatu without any outside interference, signaling that even with The Usos by his side, he doesn’t need them to prove a point. As Fatu was forced to leave the ring and follow the ‘OTC’, the camera suddenly panned to the MFTs standing ringside, watching as Fatu held his head down in defeat. Reigns made sure to let the Usos know that they were next, teasing a potential encounter in the near future. Although there were some highlights in this match, this felt like the weakest match out of all the Tribal Combat matches Reigns has been a part of. It’s clear that WWE wants Reigns to be in control of the entire family, but with so many other stories Reigns could be a part of, putting him back into Bloodline business feels repetitive at this point. One thing is clear, however, and that is that the ‘OTC’ continues to be the end-all, be-all on Raw.
Result: Reigns retains
