Who Will Become the 2026 Queen of the Ring?

WWE

After the June 19th edition of Friday Night SmackDown, it was determined that Iyo Sky will face Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan to decide the 2026 Queen of the Ring at Night of Champions on Saturday, June 27th. A win for Morgan will allow her to potentially capture all the major Women’s World Championships with a match against Rhea Ripley at SummerSlam. While for Sky, she could face Morgan, or her former tag team partner and best friend, Ripley. Another factor that could play a role in this match is the women of The Judgment Day, Raquel Rodriguez, or Roxanne Perez, either helping or hurting the Women’s World Champion.

The fact that Morgan was in the Queen of the Ring Tournament to begin with upset a lot of the WWE Universe. Yet, now that she’s in the finals, everyone wants to see what could happen. Whether this is clean with Sky winning, or The Judgment Day coming out to help or hurt the Women’s World Champion. Many are ready to see the fall of The Judgment Day, and the dominoes could start falling at Night of Champions. Having the Women’s World Champion in the tournament was crazy to begin with in the first place, but a win, becoming Queen of the Ring, in the same year she won the Royal Rumble, could put Morgan on a major run.

Sky has the opportunity to make it back in the main event scene with a win at Night of Champions. If ‘The Genius of the Sky’ wins and faces Morgan at SummerSlam, sure, it will be a great match, but everyone is looking to see Sky against Ripley. RHIYO became a beloved tag team in late 2025 and into 2026, holding the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship for 53 days before falling to The Irresistible Forces. It is known that Sky is undefeated against Ripley ever since their time together in NXT. After ‘The Genius of the Sky’ becomes Queen of the Ring, she could gain enough confidence to challenge her former tag partner, knowing her undefeated streak against ‘Mami’ puts a ton of pressure on Ripley to get the job done.

The biggest factor in this match is whether The Judgment Day comes out during the middle of the match. Rodriguez, Perez, Morgan’s lover, Dominik Mysterio, or recently cursed JD McDonagh could be the downfall of the Women’s World Champion. Some or all members could very much come out to the aid of Morgan. Yet it seems like, with the way things have been going with the group, it’s 50/50.

While Morgan is the Women’s World Champion, I don’t think the WWE Universe is ready for her to win the Queen of the Ring Tournament. Sky seems like the more logical option. The story between friends, former Tag Team Champions, makes this an epic SummerSlam match, like their previous match from last year’s SummerSlam or Evolution premium live event. Who comes out on top? Answers will be revealed on Saturday in Saudi Arabia.
