Why B & B Security Needs to Revive the Raw Tag Team Division
Over the past year, the Raw Tag Team Division has been extremely underwhelming and has had no interesting storylines. While Monday Night Raw may be the most viewed and liked show, there’s no true dominant tag team, and the overall tag team division is weak. It’s the complete opposite of the SmackDown Tag Team Division, which is full of energy, story, and excitement. Friday Night SmackDown has put together one of the best tag team divisions within all of wrestling, and it’s a true staple of the blue brand. It’s time for the Raw’s Tag Team Division to be revived and to hold interest once again. With Seth Rollins holding the WWE World Heavyweight Championship as the leader of ‘The Vision’, there shouldn’t be a reason why other Vision members, B & B Security, composed of Bron Breakker and Big Bronson Reed, go after the tag titles and establish ‘The Vision’ as the top faction within the WWE.
Since WrestleMania XL, we’ve seen the World Tag Team Championship change hands to four different tag teams. Awesome Truth, made up of The Miz and R-Truth, won the titles back on WrestleMania XL. They would lose the titles to Finn Balor and JD McDonagh of ‘The Judgement Day’. Balor and McDonagh held these titles for 175 days and did absolutely nothing with them, eventually losing them to the team of Erik and Ivar, ‘The War Raiders’. These two held the World Tag Team Championship for 124 days before losing the titles to Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods of ‘The New Day’ at WrestleMania XLI. ‘The New Day’ didn’t do much with these titles either, holding them for 72 days before being defeated by Balor and McDonagh. Since then, it’s been over 80 days that ‘The Judgement Day’ has held the titles, and just like their first reign, they're doing nothing with these titles. It’s almost like the Raw Tag Team Division is dead. It’s time for Breakker and Reed to go after the World Tag Team Championship and make it an important aspect of the weekly show.
While Raw has been making strides to put their tag division in the right direction, SmackDown has made their tag division a crucial part of their show, and most, if not all, the members within the tag division get screentime. Raw is getting there, putting Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso of ‘The Usos’ back together is definitely a smart move, and with the recent and sudden release of Andrade, I’m sure we’ll be getting Penta and Rey Fenix pairing up once again to form ‘The Lucha Bros’. So, it seems Raw can put their tag division in competition with SmackDown; however, the pieces need to be put in place on Raw in order to do so. Putting the World Tag Team Championship on Bron Breakker and Big Bronson Reed would be one of the smartest moves right now on Raw and should happen as soon as possible. Breakker needs to continue to build the foundation of his future Hall of Fame career, while Reed finally deserves to earn gold on the main roster. Reviving this tag division won’t be easy, yet if WWE focused on making this division exciting, they could certainly start off 2026 with a bang.
