Will ‘The OTC’ Recruit MFT to The Bloodline Before SummerSlam 2026?
At Clash in Italy back on May 31st, World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns was victorious, retaining his title against ‘The Samoan Werewolf’ Jacob Fatu in Tribal Combat. The defeat forced Fatu to acknowledge ‘The OTC’. A few weeks later, during the June 15th edition of Monday Night Raw, Reigns officially welcomed the former United States Champion into The Bloodline. After their Tribal Combat match, other Bloodline relatives from MFT, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Talla Tonga stared down the World Heavyweight Champion.
The stare-down between both groups hasn’t manifested into anything as of yet, but we have to wonder if they’ll cross paths sooner rather than later. Some have called for the MFT storyline to end, partially because the faction isn’t over with the entire WWE Universe, and the releases of JC Mateo and Tonga Loa further cemented that thought. Yet the trio of Sikoa and the two Tongans has made the group feel tighter-knit and allowed more character development for the three, rather than dishing it out among five members. However, the eventual feud between Sikoa and Royce Keys won’t last forever, so what are the future plans with MFT?
As Jey Uso battles his way through the Semifinals of the King of the Ring Tournament against Je’Von Evans, we knew that standing in Uso’s way in the Finals is ‘The Ruler’ Oba Femi. Reigns has tried to show during this current World Heavyweight Championship reign that he and the rest of The Bloodline are different. They don’t need any outside interference to get the job done. However, against someone like Femi, ‘Main Event Jey’ will need all the outside help he can get if he wants to have any consideration of being crowned King of the Ring and going on to face Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam. That’s where the MFT could come in. Instead of ‘The OTC’, Fatu, or Jimmy Uso causing distractions, it could be the MFT’s. The current World Heavyweight Champion could arrange a deal with Sikoa to help Uso win. Perhaps even recruit Sikoa and the two Tongans to Monday Night Raw and join The Bloodline.
A seven-member Bloodline run by Reigns would be extremely interesting to see. They would dominate every match, every division, and every championship picture. Sikoa has turned his back on the group, so he would be the most difficult to recruit, especially after he lost in Tribal Combat to ‘The OTC’ back on the Monday Night Rae Netflix debut, losing his ‘Tribal Chief’ moniker, eventually forming MFT. To have the giant Tongan, ‘The Samoan Werewolf,’ and the original Bloodline enforcer back into the fold would make this new version of The Bloodline the scariest it’s ever been. Having MFT merge with their relatives would only make sense if they were all heels.
Reigns has played the crowd’s hands, trying to win back their hearts as a good guy. However, the way ‘The OTC’ left comedian Eric Andre in the ring after Fatu attacked him was very much a heel-ish move. The current World Heavyweight Champion demanded Fatu attack the comedian again, which makes the WWE Universe question what Reigns could do with a full Bloodline at his disposal. They would be unstoppable and could possibly dominate both the red and blue brands if written correctly or played out in the right way. If WWE were to do this type of story, they would need to get the ball moving before SummerSlam 2026
The real question lies in whether these two groups will cross paths again after their stare-down at Clash in Italy, considering they’re on two different shows, and what happens between both factions. Does Sikoa rehash his feud with Reigns again? Do the two Tongans betray Sikoa and join The Bloodline? There’s an endless amount of stories that could be told; however, a story revolving around ‘The OTC’ building a stronger Bloodline with more members. Could we see Nia Jax officially join her relatives, or 10-time World Champion The Rock, or even the late-great son of Umaga, Zilla Fatu, make his WWE debut? An army of Bloodline members led by Reigns could make the rest of 2026 extremely intriguing.
