Will WWE Bring Back a Two-Time Cruiserweight Champion on August 3rd?
Through multiple vignettes, WWE will be officially bringing back ‘The Realest Seven-Footer’ Big Cass on August 3rd, 2026. This news is big, and the WWE Universe should be excited about Cass making his awaited return on Monday Night Raw after SummerSlam. Fans who saw ‘The Realest Seven-Footer’ during his first run know he teamed with Enzo Amore and had multiple legendary catchphrases such as “Sawft” and “How You Doin’? While seeing Big Cass on a singles run would surely be intriguing, everyone’s wondering whether the former two-time WWE Cruiserweight Champion will join ‘The Realest Seven-Footer’ on August 3rd.
For a few months, there have been reports that WWE could bring back this beloved tag team from the 2010s. Big Cass recently finished his contract in AEW, where he won the AEW World Tag Team Championship alongside Ricky Starks in 2023. As for Amore, he currently works in rapper Westside Gunn’s promotion 4th Rope Wrestling and is the current 4th Rope Flyweight Champion. Both Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy are the current 4th Rope Tag Team Champions, and they’ve appeared on NXT and even an NXT premium live event over the past year because of TNA’s partnership with WWE. It wouldn’t be too crazy of a thought to believe Amore has a chance of returning to WWE even though he’s with 4th Rope Wrestling as well.
If Big Cass is just returning on his own, he would place perfectly in that Intercontinental Championship picture on Raw. However, if both Cass and Amore return, I would fully expect them to be in the World Tag Team Championship scene going after The Vision. Neither man has won tag team gold in WWE, even though there have been multiple occasions where WWE officials should have put them over because of how loud they would get the crowd over their iconic catchphrases. Now is the time to finally put The World Tag Team Championships on ‘The Realest Seven-Footer’ and the former two-time WWE Cruiserweight Champion, that’s if Amore signs and joins Cass on August 3rd. We’ll have to wait and see if WWE puts on another vignette that features just ‘The Realest Seven-Footer’ or if Amore will appear this time around.
