Yeet vs. Yeah: Could We See a Match at WrestleMania?

WWE

Two of the biggest catchphrases in WWE are Jey Uso’s “Yeet” and LA Knight’s “Yeah”. This past year, we’ve seen ‘Main Event Jey Uso’ and ‘The Megastar’ square off; however, most recently, the two faced off during the semifinals of The Last Time Is Now Tournament, where Knight came out victorious. While The Usos are the WWE World Tag Team Champions at the moment, there’s plenty of time for the Uso twins to drop the belts and have a feud ignite between Uso and Knight. This potential match will have the WWE Universe pick sides over their favorite superstar between the two, pitting catchphrase against catchphrase. The match has been heavily rumored to take place at WrestleMania XLII in Las Vegas by multiple online sources. If this match happens, who are you rooting for: Yeet or Yeah?

Jey and Jimmy Uso won the World Tag Team Championship from AJ Styles and Dragon Lee on the December 29th episode of Monday Night Raw. This past episode of Raw, we saw the likes of Otis and Akira Tozawa of Alpha Academy step up and challenge for the titles, so that title match will most likely take place within the next week or two. While it has been nice to see The Usos at the top of the Raw Tag Team Division once again, it poses a ton of questions that we’ll either find out on the road to WrestleMania or even closer on this road to the Royal Rumble. Some of those questions are who will The Usos lose the titles to, how they will lose the titles, whether it will be before WrestleMania, and will either brother turn on the other. We can talk about how Otis and Tozawa are not threats to Jey and Jimmy; however, with what happened during the Cody Rhodes vs. Drew McIntyre in a Three Stages of Hell match, anything is virtually possible on this road to WrestleMania. There’s also the storyline that occurred before The Usos were champions, where Jey didn’t feel confident enough in himself, which quickly ended when he and his brother became champions. Yet, this could strangely happen again during his title match against an underdog like Alpha Academy.

For Knight, we haven’t seen ‘The Megastar’ since losing to Gunther in the Finals of The Last Time Is Now Tournament. Since he held up a sign on Raw a couple of months ago that stated to push Knight and not Jey, WWE hasn’t used Knight as they would in the past, making it difficult to tell if WWE is punishing Knight or if they're saving up something big for ‘The Megastar’ as a main event player. As a potential Royal Rumble favorite, it’s been questionable what WWE is doing with the former two-time United States Champion. Are they saving Knight for the Rumble in a way that’s going to get a big pop from the Riyadh crowd? The lines have certainly been blurred between what’s going on with ‘The Megastar.’

At the moment, it’s too difficult to determine how we will see a Yeet vs. Yeah WrestleMania match. Both seem to be going in two different directions, which makes it hard to tell how these two superstars will mash up again. Perhaps Knight does win the 2026 Royal Rumble, but that would need ‘Main Event Jey Uso’ to become a World Champion once again. Maybe Jey does an open challenge this year at WrestleMania with ‘The Megstar’ answering the call. The WWE Universe enjoys seeing these two in the ring together, especially when they’re able to shout “Yeet” and “Yeah” back and forth. Seeing this feud build on the road to WrestleMania and the Las Vegas crowd in a frenzy at WrestleMania is can’t miss television. It's just something we’ll have to wait on to see if it ever unfolds, or have it on our list of dream matches heading into an eventful 2026.
